I was also kitting out my van when I found this website called kits4vans.co.uk and I was amazed by the varitey of items they have for the van. I found they sold toolboxes, seat covers, tilt boxes, bulk heads, window grilles you name it they had it all at kits4vans.co.uk When I needed some tools the first place I found was mackay.co.uk. This was like an Aladdin's cave of items that I could purchase over the internet.  There was hammers, drills, woodscrews, nails, glue, fireworks, even metals avialable to buy. It's a firm in Cambridge established 1912 and trading on the same site since their website is http://www.mackay.co.uk, well worth a visit if you are looking for DIY or trade tools, general hardware, they even have a.small engineering workshop on site for those smaller jobs.  They have  an Engineering branch based in Cherry Hinton for the bigger jobs where can do fabrication, milling, turning, welding and the like. There is a picture of a brake press, guilotine, and workers beavering away on the metalwork, I think a lot of there work is quite bespoke and they have done some quite massive projects over the years. I was speaking the other day with one of there fabricators and he told me they also made spiral staircases and ornate staircases. Well worth a visit.
